“Alanis and I wrote a song we’re thinking about putting on it, but she’s in D.C. kicking ass about this record company thing,” he says. “[The song] is called ‘1974’; it’s the year she and I were born. She wrote her verse about her, I wrote my verse about me, then she wrote one about me and I wrote one about her, and then we end it together. I read a [live] review that said it’s about a shared birth year and breaking bones. It kind of is actually.”
