Day 07 - A song that reminds you of a certain event: - Follow The Lights
I was tempted to go for New York New York, reminding me of 9/11, but I think that’s a little bit obvious, and I did it for Day 1. So I’ve gone with this instead.
Reminds me of a certain day, third year of uni I believe. It was pouring with rain and I was expecting the ‘Follow The Lights EP’ to arrive in the post. I had a 9am lecture and I decided I’d make myself go to it by picking up the package from the postroom on the way. The postroom was a short walk away from my room, and the lecture hall was another 10 minute walk.
So i left my room, made the two minute walk to the postroom, collected the parcel…and then said to myself ‘sod the lecture, back to bed’ (as I regularly did) and back to bed I went. But I couldn’t resist. The CD went in, and rather than sleep through until mid-afternoon I laid on my bed listening to it.
I know it doesn’t sound like much, but I remember that morning, and whenever I hear Follow The Lights, I think of that morning, the rain, that whole spell of my life, and I can’t help but get lost in the memories sometimes.

I don’t know this song! And a little googling leads me to discover it’s on this EP, which I don’t have! I must rectify this at once!
